About Chelsea Michael
Chelsea (she/her) is a proud Black girl with a White girl’s name.

Born and raised in Richmond, VA, she's been acting since she was 9 years old, her younger self craving the spotlight. Now as a young adult, she still loves the spotlight, but additionally has found a deep-rooted connection in storytelling, understanding humanity, creativity, and collaboration. She's confident, articulate, loud, and extroverted.

She's the one you come to when you want the truth, as she always keeps it real with you. She's not afraid to speak up when something's wrong, but once she can trust you, she’s ride or die and consistently telling jokes. She’s your funniest friend with the dopest energy.

Chelsea is extremely passionate about people of color and making their place known, relevant, and important in the art world. Along with her work as an actor and BFA training at Shenandoah Conservatory, she's studied Black Acting Methods for a year under Dr. Sharrell D. Luckett, co-author of Black Acting Methods: Critical Approaches.

Through her education with Dr. Luckett, she's become an inaugural member of Black Acting Methods Society, an honor society she co-chartered at Shenandoah Conservatory. She loves to laugh and stand up for those around her, but her favorite thing to sleep.
